Facts about Ghana

Ghana is located in West Africa, is English-speaking, and has a population of 32 million. It is classified as a lower-middle-income country, making it relatively more prosperous than most of its neighboring countries, though it still faces economic and social inequalities. The country's revenue primarily comes from the export of oil, gold, other minerals, and cocoa. Unfortunately, the economy is burdened by significant debt. Ghana was originally known as the Gold Coast, a colony with significant activity in the slave trade, in which Denmark was also closely involved.
